Who is seated at YOUR table?
Feb 14, 2022Who is seated at YOUR table?
Sometimes we get so worked up about who is NOT at our table instead of being good stewards with who IS.
What do I mean by this?
In Matthew 25 Jesus is telling the story of the talents and in vs 23 the master is praising the good servant for stewarding his talents well and says to him, "you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things".
So often we are looking around and ahead instead at what is right in front of us! We dream and we wish, and we convince ourselves that if only we had this or had that, we would be so much happier and more successful!
But the truth is, until we steward what we have well, we are not ready to steward the next level. There is growth and wisdom to be learned at each level that needs to be taken into the next level.
Don't belittle what you have now with your desire for more.
Be careful scrolling through the your social media feeds and thinking the grass is greener. It's not. They have to mow their grass, too!
So when you are sitting at your table gathered with those that God has given you, whether it is 1000 followers or 10K or your sweet family around the dinner table, pause and thank God for the priviledge of serving Him in this most important position.
Then look out, dont get to comfortable...because you might just hear Him say..."Good Job, {insert your name here}! You have been faithful with this, now I will make you ruler over much more!"
